Encourage our children to appreciate books and reading from the very beginning can prepare them for life generally.

Our children need to learn that books are special. Teach them to take care of their books. Firmly tell them “no” about writing on the books, especially books borrowed from the library. Ask them to put their books on a special shelf. Make the books accessible, and easy to reach by them. Teach them to create their own bookmarks.
