Providing the kids with plenty of interesting craft materials and project ideas and boredom will soon be a thing of the past. In here I will outline a few ideas and their instructions to keep little fingers busy throughout the Holidays.

I?m sure you already know that you need to have plenty of the basic essential on hand like paper, crayons, safe scissors, and glue. Paper for kid crafts can include construction paper, plain typing paper, cardstock of various colors, and many other options. Make sure you start saving magazines and even junk mail can be cut up to make interesting art projects. Crayons are nice for younger children, but the stores are now filled with other options, such as washable dry-erase markers, watercolor pencils, and gel pens.   • 6″ piece of background fabric
  • 3″ square of dress fabric
  • 2″ square of hat fabric
  • 2″ square for wings
  • 1″ X 2″ piece fabric for boot
  • Tiny scrap of flesh for hands
  • Piece off trim 2″ long by 1/4″ wide
  • A single ribbon rose with leaf
  • 1/2 yd. pre-gathered lace
  • Metallic sewing thread or a single strand of embroidery floss

  • 2 1/2″ Wooden Clothespin
  • White Glue
  • Paper Plate
  • Embroidery Floss-Red, White
  • Batting
  • Fine Line Markers-Black, Red
  • Tiny Wiggle Eyes (Optional)
  • Acrylic Paint-White, Black, Gold
  • Toothpicks, Tape and Small Paint Brush

Lacy Candy Canes

Beside Candy Cane Reindeer, here it is another craft using candy cane. It is called Lacy Candy Cane. The materials you need are:

  • candy cane of course
  • lace with openings to weave ribbon through (about 18 inches)
  • hot glue
  • ribbon

Just weave the candy cane through the holes in the lace, gluing the lace at the top and bottom of the candy cane. Add ribbon bows where desired..VERY EASY, but VERY CLASSY looking!!

It is just an idea to give activity to your kids in class or Sunday school activity. You can expand your creativity with your own ideas.
