Crochet Angel
Project Description:
A thread Crochet Angel, decorated with a golden halo and a ribbon rose.

DMC, Cébélia, 100% Mercerized crochet cotton, size 10, 260 m per skein, white
Steel crochet hook size 8 (American)
DMC, Gold metallic floss, approx. 10 yd

Crochet Angel</p>
<p>Project Description:<br />
A thread Crochet Angel, decorated with a golden halo and a ribbon rose.<br />
Level Of Experience: Intermediate<br />
Finished Measurements: Approx. 5 1/2 in. tall</p>
<p>Materials:<br />
DMC, Cébélia, 100% Mercerized crochet cotton, size 10, 260 m per skein, white<br />
Steel crochet hook size 8 (American)<br />
DMC, Gold metallic floss, approx. 10 yd<br />
1 small ribbon rose in desired color<br />
Fabric stiffener<br />
2 cotton balls for head<br />
Aleene&#8217;s designer tacky glue<br />
Stitch Gauge: 9dc = 1 in.</p>

sc: single crochet<br />
dc: double crochet<br />
ch: chain<br />
ch-sp: chain space<br />
tr: treble crochet<br />
yoh: yarn (thread) over hook<br />

<p>Instructions:</p>
<p>Head:<br />
Ch 5. Make a ring with a sl st into the first ch.<br />
Rnd 1: Ch 1, 9 sc in ring. End with sl st into first ch.<br />
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same ch, *sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, rep from * around. (15 sc)<br />
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same ch, * sc in next sc twice, 2 sc in next sc, rep from * around.<br />
End with sl st into first ch. (21 sc)<br />
Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in each of all next sc around.<br />
Rnd 5: Repeat rnd 3. (28 sc)<br />
Rnd 6-10: Ch 1, sc in each of all next sc around.<br />
Rnd 11: Ch 1, * skip next sc, sc in next sc twice, rep from * around. End with sl st into first ch. (21 sc)<br />
Rnd 12: Repeat rnd 11 (15 sc)<br />
Stuff head with cotton balls.</p>
<p>Neck:<br />
Rnd 13: Ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, 2 dc in every sc up to last sc, end with 3 dc in last sc, sl st into 3rd ch. (32 dc)<br />
Rnd 14: Ch 4 (count as dc, ch1) dc in same sp, * skip next dc, (dc, ch 1, dc)(shell) in next dc, rep from * around. End with sl st into 3rd ch. (16 shells)</p>
<p>Wings:<br />
Rnd 15: Sl st into next ch-sp, ch 3, dc in same ch-sp, ch 1, 2 dc in same ch-sp, * (2 dc,<br />
ch 1, 2 dc) in next ch-sp, rep from * around. End with sl st into 3rd ch.<br />
Rnd 16: Sl st in next 2 sts, ch 3 (count as dc), 2 dc in same ch-sp, ch 1, 3 dc in same ch- sp, * (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next ch-sp, rep from * around. End with sl st into 3rd ch.<br />
Rnd 17: Sl st into next 3 sts, * ch 7, sc into next ch-sp, rep from * around. End with sl st into first ch. (16 ch-sp)<br />
Rnd 18: Ch 4, dc in next ch-sp, (ch 1, dc in same ch-sp) 3 times, * ch 1, (dc in next ch-sp), (ch 1, dc in same ch-sp) 4 times, rep from * around.<br />
Rnd 19: * Ch 5, sc into next ch-sp, rep from * around.<br />
Rnd 20: Sl st into next ch-sp, * ch 1, ch-3-picot, ch 1, sc into next ch-sp, rep from * around. Fasten off.</p>

Rnd 21: Attach thread to one of the ch-3-sp on rnd 16:, (ch 7, sc in next ch-sp) 4 times, skip next 3 ch spaces, sc into next ch-sp, (ch 7, sc in next ch-sp) 4 times, skip next 3 ch spaces, sc into first ch-sp.( 8 ch-sp)<br />
Rnd 22: *Ch 7, sc into next ch-sp, ch 7, sc into next sc, rep from * around. (16 ch-sp)<br />
Rnd 23: Sl st into next 3 sts, ch 7 (count as tr, ch 3), tr in same sp, * ch 1, (tr, ch 3, tr) in next ch-sp, rep from *, end with ch 1, sl st into 4th ch.<br />
Rnd 24: Sl st into next ch-sp, ch 4, tr in same ch-sp, ch 3, 2 tr in same sp, * ch 2, (2 tr, ch 3, 2 tr) in next ch-3-sp, rep from * end with ch 2, sl st into 4th ch.<br />
Rnd 25: Sl st into next 2 sts, ch 4, 2 tr in same ch-sp, ch 3, 3 tr in same sp, * ch 2, (3 tr, ch 3, 3 tr) in next ch-3-sp, rep from * around. End with ch 2, sl st into 4th ch.<br />
Rnd 26: Sl st into next 2 sts, ch 4, 2 tr in same ch-sp, ch 3, 3 tr in same sp, * ch 3, (3 tr, ch 3, 3 tr) in next ch-3-sp, rep from * around. End with ch 3, sl st into 4th ch.<br />
Rnd 27: Sl st into next 2 sts, * ch 7, sc into next ch-sp, rep from * around.<br />
Rnd 28: Sl st into next 3 sts, * ch 7, sc in next ch-sp, rep from * around.<br />
Rnd 29: Sl st into next st, ch 4, (dc, ch 1) in same ch-sp 4 times, *(dc, ch 1) in next ch-sp 5 times, rep from * around. Sl st into first ch-sp.<br />
Rnd 30: Ch 4, * dc in next dc, ch 1, ( dc, ch 3 picot, dc, ch 5 picot, dc, ch 3 picot) in next dc, ch 1, yoh, insert hook into next dc, pull thread through 2 loops on hook, yoh, insert hook into next dc, pull thread through 2 loops on hook, yoh, pull thread through all threads on hook , ch 1, rep from * around. \<br />
End with sl st into first ch-sp. Fasten off.</p>
<p>Halo:<br />
Holding all strands of metallic floss together, ch 25. Make a ring with a sl st into the first ch.<br />
Rnd 1: Ch 3(count as dc) , 35 dc in ring. Rnd 2: * ch 5, skip in next dc, sc in next dc, rep from * around. Fasten off.</p>
<p>Finishing:<br />
Stiffen the angel according to the instructions of the stiffener. Glue on the halo to the back of the head and the rose to the front of neck.</p>
