How to Print and Cut Your Origami Paper

  1. Use thin printer paper (70–80 gsm / 20 lb). Thick cardstock is hard to fold.
  2. Print on US Letter or A4. “Fit to page” is fine, the square just needs to stay square!
  3. Cut along the grey line with scissors or a paper trimmer for straight edges.
  4. Let the ink dry for a minute before folding so it doesn’t smudge.
  5. Saving ink? Print only the designs you need, or try the lighter designs like Christmas Trees, Ornaments and Peppermints.

What to Fold with Christmas Origami Paper

  • Origami stars: fold a few in Gold Stars or Snowflakes paper and hang them on the tree.
  • Gift boxes: a Masu box or a gift box with 4 flaps makes a sweet container for cookies and small presents.
  • Paper cranes: string several together for a festive garland.
  • Envelopes: fold a patterned envelope for a handmade Christmas card.
  • Hearts and decorations: perfect for gift tags and table decorations.
